The desert dust comes in the southwest orange warning due to wind
Due to the transition of the desert dust, the levels of dust particles will be increased today and tomorrow, the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia warns. Therefore, it recommends that the population regularly monitor the hourly values of the PM10 or the index of outdoor air quality and to adjust the outdoor activities in accordance with the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).
In the case of air pollution with these particles, especially vulnerable population groups (infants and children, the elderly, heart and pulmonary and diabetics) advises to limit outdoor movement and ventilate living spaces at a time when the pollution level is lower. Chronic pulmonary (asthma, COPD) and cardiovascular patients should regularly take prescribed therapy, and should also have medicines for rapid relief or deterioration. Accelerated heart rate, lack of breath, or unusual fatigue can predict a serious deterioration of the underlying disease. In such cases, they should seek medical attention quickly, including NIJZ.
