Thousands of Paris Saint-Germain fans came to the streets of the French capital on Saturday to celebrate their club victory in the Champions League final, according to French news agency AFP. The hottest fans also dealt with the police, who arrested almost 300 people.

Most fans celebrated peacefully, and Paris police reported that the fights broke out near the Champs of Elise, the City Avenue of Champs-Elysees, and the PSG Park Prince (Parc des Princes) stadium, where 48,000 fans on four large screens were watching Milan Inter with 5: 0 in Munich.

Most of the nearly 300 detained were suspected of possessing fireworks, pyrotechnics and causing clutter, Paris police said. AFP reporters saw the police using a water cannon to stop the wild crowd that achieved the victory triumph.

« The causes of problems in the fields of Elysees wanted to create incidents and repeatedly came into contact with the police by throwing large fireworks and other objects, » the police wrote in a statement.

Outside Paris, police said the car had collided with fans who celebrated the PSG victory in Grenoble in the southeast of France, with four people injured, two of which were seriously. All were injured from the same family, police said. The driver surrendered to police officers and were detained, and the driver was not to take intentionally.

In Paris, most fans showed their joy with singing and dancing on the streets, blinking the car HUP, after the Paris team won the competition for the first time in history, called the Champions League, and reached for the most numerous laurel in European club football.

French President Emmanuel Macron’s office reported that French President will host the Champions League winners on Sunday to congratulate them. Macron welcomed « Day of Fame for PSG » in a separate message on X. « Bravo, we are all proud, » he wrote. « Paris is the capital of Europe tonight. » Parisian mayor Anne Hidalgo described the victory in the Champions League final as « historic ».

On Sunday, the PSG team will prepare their parade of the winners with a passage in the Poljane Elise, when tens of thousands of fans will be expected to see their heroes after returning to their homeland.

At 10.45pm, at the moment the match ended, 81 people gathered in Porte de Saint-Cloud and at the beginning of the Elyseing fields, mainly because of « possession of fireworks and burning products, » police reports show.

In the fields of Elysees, numerous exhibitions were preventively covered with wooden panels. Those elderly compared the atmosphere to the paradise of France in 1998, when the French national team won the World Championship.
