Mayor Hustopeče in the Přerov region Júlia Vozáková said that on Saturday morning a crisis staff was present at which the representatives of the Railway Administration, Traffic Inspectorate and Environmental and Water Managers were present in addition to representatives of the village.
“Although over -limit concentrations have not been found in the air, experts do not recommend moving outside within five kilometers. According to information from the chemical manufacturer, there was a highly flammable benzene substance made from benzol in the DEZA company in nearby Valašské Meziříčí. In connection with the fire, firefighters declared the highest level of fire alarm they use in emergencies.
