The railway disaster took place on February 28, when a train with tons of over 1000 tons of benzene derailed in the town of Hustopecze over the barrel. According to preliminary findings, the composition entered the crossover at an excessive speed. A fire broke out, most of the 17 wagons took care of fire, and about 350 tons of poisonous substance got into groundwater.
