The Croatian football team celebrated at the first game of the European Championship
The Croatian football team achieved its first victory at the European Championships in Moldovan Kisinjevo, defeating 4-2 national team of Spain.
Although the Spaniards took the early goal in the third minute, Croatia showed its quality below. In the 12th minute, the scorer was Ante Kovacevic for the equalizer, and two minutes followed by a turnaround. Karlo Darojkovic scored directly from the car.
At the end of the first half, Spain managed to equalize Spain with a great combination and went on vacation with a 2-2 score. The second half opens Croatia great. Already in the first minute of the sequel, Pasko Culjak puts the ball into the net for 3-2, and the final result is achieved by Kovacevic.
– There are three points from this match. I do not think that the opponent was as good as we did the problems ourselves because we did not enter the match right. I hope the guys realized that for any relaxation they would happen to receive two goals at halftime, that this is a school and that we will be better – said coach Dino Kovac after the game.
Croatia plays the next game on Thursday at 3 pm Croatian time and the opponent will be Latvia. Croatia won bronze last year at the SP in Oman.
