I am thirsty for great art festivals, intense meeting rituals, spaces of resistance and rejoicing. Want to take the pulsation of our time and renew our ways of being together and nourishing our dreams. Desire that we collectively contribute to increasing life, with strength, passion and determination, so that we exceed our amazement and lamentation before the state of the world and our world, that of the arts and culture, so weakened today.
Will we dance tomorrow on a field of ruins? We feared it and now, all the reasons to fear the golden age of public policies of past culture. Nothing seems definitively acquired. Our era throws a cold light on a hemorrhage of which we know nothing about our ability to stop it. However, here and there, initiatives are born, sometimes discreetly. Hybrid adventures, which mobilize a great diversity of actors and audiences, play with a changing world and act as microlaboratory where expression and expressed new ways of imagining the in progress and future transitions. It is about art of art, first, but not only.
I pilot, with behind the porthole, two of these adventures born at the borders of art and with it. Whether it is « windows on the landscape » – an open -air artistic course on almost 1,000 km of Cost of Compostela – or the « home art service », the same method has prevailed. Different projects in all respects. From the territorial scale to the methods of meeting with people, from artistic disciplines to the ways « To do with it ». A single compass. The one who takes the most powerfully the pulse of the world, which understands the singularity of each situation and each context, which leaves their place to intuitions and finally tries by all means and as justly possible to share with those who are there.
Take the case of « home art service ». Elderly people, often very isolated, especially in rural areas, receive at home and with the complicity of their home help and auxiliaries of life, one or an artist. From this meeting to three, of conversations initiated in a reserved and intimate setting, of mediation undertaken by home aid and auxiliaries of life, emerge from new and powerful artistic performances. We come out jostled.
The creative villa is one of those adventures, the tiny part of a sun that comes, so dear to Jean Pierre Siméon. It is not afraid of the possible discomfort of hybridizations, crosses sciences, creation and society, public and private economy, in a place of knowledge and interdisciplinary reflections. Together, we work on the basis of our projects, with the home service at home in particular, imagining dynamic alliances, mixing our skills and know-how, to create a university diploma for home aid and auxiliaries of life. It will value and strengthen their very precious and essential skills in artistic and cultural mediation.
It is with constantly recovered attempts on the profession, tailor-made situations, partners as involved as it is stimulating, and great freedom, that we orchestrate intense meetings with audiences in order to share the arts, cultures, knowledge and senses. Nourished by generations who had imagined, cleared and built worlds, which had tried by all means to give the greatest value to our ambitions, we grew up with the idea that what we did participated in our development, emancipation, public service. If we are entering a lot in a new age, it is not time to let go of the ramp.
