The cozy coup that worries the world of comics – Liberation
Behind the scenes, the world of comics has gripped severely for ten days. Young and old bosses of publishing houses wonder about the fate to be reserved for the next international comic strip festival in Angoulême (FIBD) and try, without eating the case, to find a common front: boycott or not boycott? In question: the coup de force for the moment held secret by the director general of the demonstration, Franck Bondoux, who is preparing to take exclusive control of the FIBD, a few weeks after his management was the subject of a violent controversy.
Since 2008, the FIBD has been organized by the Private 9eart +company, mandated by the Festival association, at the origin of the first comic book fair and today managed by Delphine Groux. The management of the event was to be the subject of a renewal this year, the association having to determine whether it extended the mandate entrusted to the company of Franck Bondoux.
