The Court has set 15 years in prison for Rangel Bierev for the Tsalapitsa murder

The panel justified Bibyrev in the part of the accusation that the murder was committed with particular cruelty. The sentence is not final and can be appealed, and the prosecutor’s office has announced that they will challenge the decision.

« In the protest, the District Prosecutor’s Office-Plovdiv will ask Rangel Bibyrev to be found guilty of the intentional murder qualification committed with special cruelty and his sentence to increase his life prison, for which the prosecutor of the case Boris Mihov pleaded today, » a statement announced. The Prosecutor’s Office’s protest will be submitted within 15 days in the Plovdiv Court of Appeal.

The prosecutor’s office and the attorneys of the relatives of the murdered Dimitar insisted that the defendant be recognized on the prosecution of a deliberate murder in a particularly cruel manner. According to the defense, however, the legal qualification is not correct and Busyurev should only be responsible for causing death by negligence after deliberately inflicted average bodily harm.

Dimitar Malinov disappeared on July 20 at about 10:30 pm, leaving his mother’s home in Tsalapitsa to go to Stamboliyski, where he lives with his father. The police were notified immediately. A week later – on July 27, his body was found outside the village. According to forensic expertise, and according to the prosecutor’s office, the death was immediately as a result of a heavy beating.

Shortly after Dimitar’s disappearance, his mother Atanaska Blagoeva told the media that a boy from the village was looking for her son to beat him. However, the suspect Rangel Bierev left the country on July 24, four days after the murder, a flight from Sofia to Germany. The mother then said she had signaled the police two days earlier, on July 22: « They missed him, we signaled on Saturday, he could look for him on Sunday. »

There was serious criticism of the police work on the part of Tsalapitsa residents, who claim to the media that it was not the police, but the volunteers from the village, they discovered on cameras’ records that on July 20, after leaving his mother’s home, Dimitar Malinov was uploaded to the dormitory. The twins were detained on July 31, and the prosecutor’s office found and claimed that they had participated in the corpse hiding.

« I knew I was bigger and big, I didn’t hit it to kill him. I was 30 years old, why it’s not about loans, girls or drugs, everything was because of the insults, » says Bibyrev.

Bibyrev left the place with Borislav Dinkov, but decided to return and saw that Dimitar Malinov, who was lying on the ground, was lifeless. Borislav Dinkov suggested that they put him in the trunk, and then called his brother Valentin Dinkov and told him to take a pick and a shovel. They met outside the village, dug a hole and buried the body.

« I was not able to react and think soberly. I was panicked and scared, » Busjurev says.

Meanwhile, at two courts, the twins Borislav and Valentin Dinkovi, who were found guilty of concealing. At second instance, their sentences were increased – Borislav would be imprisoned for 4 years and 6 months, and Valentin – 4 years, the magistrates decided after their court initially set 3 years in prison.

The magistrates then indicated that the public danger of their act was extremely high, as the two helped Rangel Bibourev to avoid prosecution. According to the second instance court, Borislav Dinkov has a much greater participation, and his brother joined much later, being involved in him.
