The Verkhovna Rada agreed to President Vladimir Zelensky for the appointment of Ruslan Kravchenko by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

Details: The decision on the approval of Kravchenko’s candidacy for the post of Prosecutor General was supported by 273 people’s deputies:

Now the President must sign a decree on the appointment of Kravchenko by the Prosecutor General. Since then, he will officially hold the post of head of the OGP.

Reference: 35-year-old Ruslan Kravchenko is a native of Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. Since 2024 he held the position of head of the State Tax Service.

He was the chairman of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (from 2023 to 2024). He headed the Buchan District Prosecutor’s Office since 2021.

Previously worked as a military prosecutor during Anatoly Matios. In 2019-2020, he filed a SAP prosecutor, then participated in the competition for the post of NABU head. He was awarded the Order of Merit III degree (August 23, 2022).

Kravchenko was a prosecutor in the case where Viktor Yanukovych President was found guilty of treason and awards in the war.

Prehistory:
