BRATISLAVA. The performance of the function of the head of the Association of Hospitals only suspended because judgmentApparently he had not yet come in writing. The Supreme Court ruled that the director of the Bardejov hospital Marián Petko took a bribe.
Petko, even after two convicting judgments of a specialized criminal and the Supreme Court, insists on its innocence. Refuses to withdraw from the chair President Association of Hospitals of Slovakia, which is the largest association of health facilities in our country.
Members of the Association are 80, mostly regional, hospitals. Penta and Agel with their hospital networks have the greatest influence.

It is not yet clear how Petko and the Association will be preserved when they read the official judgment of the Supreme Court. At Thursday's press conference, Petko and the first Vice President of the Association Igor Pramuk did not respond.
Pramuk will still represent the Association externally. He did not answer the question of whether the association was not proven that the corruption was convicted of it. He only called on journalists and the public to respect the decision of the Council of the Association that did not ask Petka to resign. The Association Council has 20 members.
On February 18, the Supreme Court, on February 18, condemned Petka for taking a bribe of EUR 67,000 from a construction company that repaired the Bardejov hospital between 2005 and 2009. He received a fine of EUR 10,000.
Petko has not yet paid the fine. Is considered to file an appeal against the judgment.
Petko appealed to the Supreme Court, when he was sentenced by a specialized criminal court for two years by conditionally and a fine of EUR 15,000 for two years in December 2022.
