The Romanian constitutional court rejected an objection by the inferior right -wing candidate George Simion on Thursday and confirmed the victory of the Bucharest Mayor Nicușor Dan in the presidential election on Sunday. Dan, who had prevailed in the runoff election with 53.5 percent of the votes cast, will be praised in parliament on Monday and will be in office and dignity.
The declared priorities of the new president include the fastest possible majority finding and subsequent awarding of the government mandate, the consolidation of the institutions of the state and a more decidedly fightering corruption, also in view of the exhausted budget deficit (9.3 percent of the gross domestic product) with the future government in terms of the unreal Cooperate savings packages.
Simion complained about France
