The constitution of the Assembly fails. Kurti resorts, Limaj and Haradinaj do not speak
This Tuesday the session for the constitution of the new Kosovo Assembly failed. MPs of the opposition party have opposed the approval of the report of the Mandate verification commission, bringing political stalemate.
PDK leader Memli Krasniqi explained that they made this decision as the government did not resign. It is now up to the president to decide how to continue. Albin Kurti resigned as prime minister, in order to swear as an MP, as well as his ministers. He was the only one who had taken with him an Albanian national flag. The session also produced very spicy moments, giving numerous signals regarding post -election coalitions or the formation of the new government.
The head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj and the President of the Social Democratic Initiative, Fatmir Limaj, have not even been greeted and talked to each other in the Kosovo Assembly Hall. The latter entered the pre -election coalition and received 8 MPs in the February 9 elections.
A possible agreement is reported between the head of the Self -Determination Movement, Albin Kurti and the head of the Initiative, Fatmir Limaj, for the vote of the new government. There is talk of a pact between Kurti and Duda Balje representing the Bosnian minorities, but the MP was very close to PDK leader Memli Krasniqi. PDK and LDK leaders consult with their party members but have turned their backs on the head of Vetevendosje. There was no greeting between them.
