The confrontation of David and Goliath in the Oval Room
Courage will never be the main virtue necessary for David to win Goliath. In fact, the one will serve you nothing if you do not use intelligence and cunning.
If you dare to face the giant Goliath with open chest and without the use of any weapon that can knock him down, he will end up waiting for him!
As brave as it may be!
This is precisely what happened recently in the White House Oval Room, when Zelensky predisposed to challenge Trump, but only making use of undeniable courage, forgetting, however, that his interlocutor does not give in pressure and only allow himself to let down through cunning.
The confrontation between the two, inevitable from the moment the Ukrainian President, being assisted by a world-scale, wanted to make a diametrically opposed position of the one who was received as he was heated as heated discussions, and the generality of those who involved in them were packed by the heart to the heart of their hearts.
In addition, almost all the opinions was merely appreciated the scarce minutes of the confrontation between the two men that the televisions made available, when the common sense advises that the film is visited so that we can withdraw the appropriate conclusions.
What gathered Trump and Zelensky that day in the main cabinet of the White House was not a working meeting, but the presentation to the decisive press in previous meetings, and the subject in question dealt with the signing of the mineral exploration agreement and not, properly, directly related to the ongoing war on Ukrainian soil.
The full movie of events has the approximate duration of forty minutes, and the conversation almost always took place in cordial and respectful tone, just falling into a hostile climate in the final minutes of the session.
The first part of the meeting consisted of the presentation of the decisions previously made by the delegations of the two presidents, both having made use of the word without any kind of controversy.
It was already in the answers to the questions of the journalists that the mood of harmony hitherto present became an ugly and unnecessary dispute, because it triggered in the face of a good assistance to capture moments of tension, and with blame for both parties involved, since none of them acted with the sensible properness.
Zelensky wanted to show such courage that the generality of the observers pointed to him, challenging who, in fact, is invested with the power of strength.
It began by making its position not to accept a ceasefire, a mandatory condition imposed by the US administration for the agreement to be signed; He then denied Trump, acinintly, when he, with the usual superb that is recognized to him, boasting that the help he provided to Ukraine was superior to that of the Europeans conferred; And finally, it required other security guarantees for a break in conflicts, other than those proposed by the Americans, because they suspect their ability to control the Russian ruins.
And it was here that the broth spotted, with the harsh intervention of the vice president, an episode of the general knowledge.
The Ukrainian President had as an interlocutor a negotiator known for his ferocity and the inability to deal with lucidity when he was contradicted, which is why it would have been seriously recommended that he had been cunning and intelligent, instead of having presented himself as a brave man and unable to give in to any pretense he considers disadvantage to his country.
In addition, he was the one who presented himself with his extended hand, as the survival of Ukraine as a sovereign and independent country depends more and more on the help and generosity of the US, and it is obviously conditioned to the good foster of whom very recently the Americans have entrusted the country's government.
Trump, with the aggressiveness that characterizes him, reminded him that he has the cards in his hand, that is, either Zelensky submits to his will or the Americans stretch his rug and cease any support for the war that the Ukranian leader insists on continuing to lock.
Let us be practical, having the obligation to analyze Ukraine's current situation in conflict in the conflict is involved with lucidity and reasonableness and without being dominated by the obvious sympathies by those who suffer the most: Ukrainians are losing war!
They are lacking soldiers to fight in front of combat and with a growing shortage of military equipment, a reality that it is proof of the setbacks who suffer at the moment in Kursk, considered the last territorial negotiation point that Kiev still has for possible peaceful conversations with Moscow, is falling to the Russian side.
This is certainly not strange, Trump's retaliation in ordering the immediate end of military assistance to Ukraine, including the indispensable sharing of information.
In the face of this scenario, and in order for Ukraine not to lose all the ability to resistance to the advancement of Russian troops, only two possible solutions to maintain their war efforts are seen: a military intervention of allied countries, that is, NATO, with the displacement of armed forces to the terrain; or the maintenance of US military aid.
The first hypothesis is unrealistic, because its realization would imply an open military conflict with Russia and the natural repercussions that may result for humanity, through the use of nuclear weapons that neither party commits not to resort.
For this reason, neither Europe nor the US considered sending troops to fight alongside the Ukrainians.
Zelensky has also realized that his survival cannot only be linked to European benevolence, given that a possible rearmament of Europe, as recommended by Brussels's nomenclature, will take years to be realized.
Nowadays, the only offer that European countries are in a position to offer a distressed Ukraine, more sanctions to Russia, as decided last week in another hilarious Summit of the weak European leaders, which only represents slight pockets in Putin's military campaign.
It remains the second way, to be tied with the Trump administration!
The Ukrainian President understood this fatality when, right after the riot in the oval room, he left for Brussels and came from there with his hand to shake, only with such unreasonable sanctions.
Zelensky fell into himself and offered to resume dialogue with Trump and work under his direction, said he wanted to sign the mineral agreement as soon as possible and admitted his partner of guilt in the conference of reasons with the American administration summit.
Trump is a born negotiator who plays hard and does not tolerate setbacks. Moreover, it does not give your opponents respite until it reaches the objectives to which it is proposed.
For him, Ukraine is just a business and, for this reason, made the decision that the war has to end, it costs what it costs.
Let us be realistic, good or evil it will really end, because this is the unwavering will of those who hold this decision -making power!
Zelensky has become aware of this destination, so he is now willing to risk a new meeting with Trump, knowing, beforehand, that this time he will have to be more shrewd than brave.
And the task ahead is inglorious, because if it does not have sufficient means to drain the Russian military of the territories they have occupied and being aware, at the outset, that Trump will not make assistance available without which he will not be successful in his ambition, only the alternative of conforming to the loss of provinces conquered by the invader, in full or of them, and to be limited to ensuring to be remaining territorial integrity left over.
For this you will need security guarantees that this rest of Ukrainian soil will not be at the mercy of Putin's new adventures, and this protection will only be able to obtain from the Americans.
And Trump's guarantees to offer are economical, based on the thesis that the Russians will not dare attack areas under the influence of US strategic interests.
This was precisely the point of discord that led to verbal confrontation in the oval room where the pieces of the board are positioned in which the fate of the world is thrown, when Zelensky questioned the validity of these guarantees tables that were then being offered.
Now, as soon as you are again in front of Trump, you will have to negotiate once again, but then you will have to do so privately, far from the chambers before which the US President loigates himself and being forced to present himself with a humility to which he is not used to.
This time with more cunning than courage!
