The conflict of two giants is gaining strength
Donald Trump, known for his uncompromising style, called Elon Musk « a man who lost his mind » and announced that he was considering selling his red Tesla model S. A car, which in March bought in a gesture of support for Musk, he can now get under the hammer.
Tesla for sale? Trump is fed up!
« I don’t want to talk to him, » Trump said in an interview with ABC television, confirming that his patience to the boss of Tesla was exhausted.
Red Tesla, which so far proudly stood in the White House parking lot, can become a symbol of the end of cooperation between these two influential richers. Interestingly, it was Trump that bought a car to help Musk in a difficult moment for Tesla, when the company struggled with falling sales.
Musk versus Trump: What did it go?
A draft bill (One Big Beautiful Bill Act), which was voted by the House of Representatives, turned out to be an inflammatory spark of the conflict. Trump triumphed, but Musk did not hide his indignation. The head of Tesla sharply criticized the law, suggesting that the president was only about collecting tax breaks to electric cars, which strikes the interests of his company.
Musk responded to Trump’s attack equally. He publicly supported the calls to the president’s impeachment and suggested that Vice President JD Vance would work better in his place. But that’s not all! Musk went even further, insinuating that Trump could be on the famous « Epstein list » – an alleged group of people associated with the dead billionaire accused of sexual abuse of minors and young women. He was supposed to « deliver » them to rich friends.
Musk’s deportation? Bannon adds oil to the fire
Steve Bannon joined the conflict, a former adviser to Trump, who simply demanded … the deportation of Elon Musk! – « An official investigation should be initiated regarding his immigration status, » Bannon told the New York Times. According to him, Musk is a « illegal newcomer » that puts his interests over the good of the USA.
Bannon, known for its uncompromising statements, does not hide that Musk is the number one enemy for him. He accuses the billionaire that instead of supporting the country in which he made a career, he only thinks about his own wallet.
Will the conflict end with a conversation?
On Thursday, information appeared that Trump and Musk can sit down to talk. However, the president quickly denied these reports. « I’m not interested, » Trump said, clearly hindering that he has no intention of alleviating tensions.
Musk is also not idle. In addition to the sharp words towards Trump, he threatened to withdraw cooperation with NASA, which could be a blow to the American space program.
Will Trump and Musk’s conflict end in a compromise or will we even be even more escalating? One thing is certain – this is a clash of two giants that electrifies public opinion around the world!
