The concert of Andris Nelson and Boston Symphony Orchestra will be live on the Latvian National Opera / Day
Andrejs Žagars Culture Development Fund on May 11 and 12 for the first time in Riga is offered by the world -renowned Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts under the direction of the chief conductor and artistic director Andris Nelson. These concerts will be part of the agency Konzertdirktsion schmid Organized BSO European tours dedicated to Dmitry Shostakovich’s work, celebrating the fifties of the composer’s death. Tickets for concerts have been sold out.
Sandis Voldiņš, Chairman of the Board of the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, emphasizes: « The live broadcast on the Latvian National Opera Square is a unique event – for the first time in this way we will offer the widest audience live live. Played live anywhere else, it will not be created, so enjoy this special musical event in the blooming opera square! «
Watching a live broadcast will be available to anyone interested in free. From 6 pm there will be a café at the opera. Seating places will be available for the audience’s convenience, but viewers are invited to take care of their convenience and bring folding chairs or rugs.
