On Thursday, the capital signed a contract with the contractor of the new trolleybus track Patrónka – Riviera. Work for several years of planned electrification of line 32 from Long parts to the main station will start in a few weeks.

The new track budget is EUR 15.7 million and it will be paid by the European Union, said the Mayor Matúš Vallo.

The new track connects the tram line to long parts with other trolleybus tracks of the capital. It will be two three -kilometer sections through Botanická Street and Mlynská dolina in both directions.

After building a new track, the city promises more frequent interval of line 32. On line 33 from Long Parts on Riviera, they want to replace 12-meter vehicles with 18-meter joint trolleybus, which can fit half more passengers.

Connecting long parts

Long -prepared track
