The instructor judge Juan Carlos Peinado, who for more than a year keep an investigation against Begoña Gómezhas closed another round of interrogations without progress of draft. Six new witnesses (of the almost half a hundred he has cited so far) have passed this Wednesday by the Madrid courts of Plaza de Castilla to sit before the magistrate; But, according to legal sources, none has reported details of the alleged irregularities attributed to the woman of the socialist leader. Among those mentioned were Marc Murtracurrent president of Telefónica and former president of Indra, who explained that he was seen with Gomez on one occasion, but that this meeting had a simply institutional cut.
Witness statements have lasted very little time. Mutra has just spent 10 minutes within the court. And at that time, according to sources present in the interrogation, he has limited himself to explaining the context of that meeting with Gómez already to say that he does not know the details of the Indra agreement reached to collaborate with the chair that Pedro Sánchez’s wife promoted at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). According to these sources, another company manager has listed the multiple protocol meetings they have. To one of the witnesses, the magistrate has not even asked questions.
With the statements on Wednesday, the judge sought to move forward with his line of investigation on Gómez’s relationship with the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), where Sanchez’s wife directed a chair and developed a softwarefor which it was counted with financial assistance from companies such as Google, Telefónica and Indra. The magistrate has already questioned several people for these events without much success: among them, Rosauro Varo, member of the Telefónica Advisory Council and former Vice President of Hurry, Editor Group of El País; to Luis Abril, Minister of Indra and High manager of Minsait (indra subsidiary); Miguel Escassi, Director of Institutional Relations and Public Policies of Google Spain. For the same reason, this morning was also quoted Francisco Abril-Martorell, former president of Indra.
Despite the few advances, Judge Peinado does not give up. The magistrate has scheduled two other statements for June 5. That day, the instructor plans to interrogate two entrepreneurs who collaborated with some projects linked to the chair of Begoña Gómez.
