No one from day to day will not happen to the artegistoric
As for April 1, SNG left approximately 70 employees and employees across the institution, others are on leaving.
More than a third of the Department of the Section of Collections and Funds, including its director Maria Bohumelová, also ended. Other experts end up to April 30.
« This departure represents a significant intervention in the gallery, as specialists and specialist workers who have been involved in various collections for a long time are key to maintaining and protecting the cultural heritage that SNG manages, » said Šáteková.
Where did Šimkovič’s SNG directors bring? Partners renounce exhibitions, curators will also leave their projects Read
Art historian Marcela Macharáčková, niece of sculptor Jozef Kostka, sees the situation as critical.
« We lived in the free world and suddenly a bunch of non -educators took the power of the power. They do not realize that every expert in the gallery has been honestly studied. Nobody will happen to day by day.
The Slovak National Gallery currently has about 96,000 works in the collections.
According to the descendants, the departure of employees seriously threatens the quality of professional management of collections and exhibition projects, increasing the risk that some valuable works will not be properly maintained and made available to the public.
They ask how the current and future management plans to provide protection of these collections and professional care when the professional capacity of the gallery is weakened.
