The city gets up to the gardens

Arrives from all over Lithuania

Tadas Vaitkus, who headed the largest garden community in Lithuania, admitted that the community had reached an incredible size – 4 thousand people declared his place of residence in Dituva. of the population. Dituva is home to more residents than Neringa, Kalvarija or Rietavas. The community is equivalent to the city of Lazdijai in terms of population.

« I do not know what is going on here, the Diuva is moving from all over Lithuania. The people of Šalčininkai, Vilnius, Kaunas come. In the evenings every other house burns light. And in the morning there will be congestion from three to five kilometers long.

Three years ago, Dituva registered in Dituva was only 2 thousand. of the population.

« In the meantime, the population has always increased. The change of property is always here. We see it every day by issuing certificates for notaries. But now it is clear that people are buying property here for life, » noted T. Vaitkus.

In the past, young families bought plots or newly built homes, and now older people 40-50 are looking for ownership.

Increasing inflation and rising prices ask – is it a good time to buy real estate now?

« I’m guessing that the loans are not in a hurry to buy now. With a little wage, people save and buy with the prospect that they will build themselves.

Buys 600 plots

Not only Klaipeda residents or newcomers from other cities, but also Ukrainians, move to Diuva.

« On my street alone with 15 plots, two of them were sold this spring. Some of the buyers – the Ukrainians. The other half -century couple assured that they wanted to move to the gardens in the future.

Currently, 600 plots are bought in Dituva Gardens a year, which is 10 percent. plots in the community.

Mr Vaitkus admitted that in the event of war or energy crises, the chances of survival in gardens are much higher than in the apartment building.

« What would happen first? Ogi’s connection and electricity. What do you do on the ninth floor of an apartment building? Hard to survive. And you can have water here, can at least eat on fire. Many homes have cellars, even to hide.

The military caught a thief

However, the locals have questions about the military landfill, which is a few kilometers from the gardens.

« I don’t know if it’s okay or bad. Is it safer or not very much? Now the new shooting range is set up by the military.

Military personnel often organize exercises in Dituva Gardens.

« I always give permission, let me learn, get to know the area, but better. And one night the military thief caught. They went in the winter, had just snowed. The so -called territory cleaning was. The military, seeing their feet, turned on the street and saw a thief with a screwdriver, » said T. Vaitkus.

The thieves tried to run, jumped the fence, and the other street of the military moved on the other side of the street.

« That’s how he grabbed.

Raimonda Norkienė, Advisor to Klaipėda District Priekulė eldership, said to the chairman of the Dituva.

« The garden community has certainly changed over the years. The asphalting work of the Mickai road began, the project has already been prepared. The gardens will be a new paved road. It is true that people here willing to live. Because the area is comfortable for life. The nursery will be installed.

There are no abandoned plots left in the garden community, maybe only a couple of dozen are still unattended. There were hundreds of such areas a few years ago.

« In Klaipeda city, apartment prices are unrealistic. And people want to have a land area, barefoot a meadow. Others move to gardens because they no longer want to rent housing.

She was not surprised that older residents move to the gardens.

« People who are retired are still withdrawal, their berries, vegetables they have grown, sell and contribute to retirement.

Everything will become more expensive?

Algimantas Bružas, the head of the real estate agency Aidila, speculated that residents of other cities in Dituva could look for a plot because it is a seaside area.

« Somehow you will hide from the war in the garden. This is the specifics of our country. Gardens are one of the most attractive and cheapest real estate sites at the seashore. But the boom of purchases may have been determined by spring.

However, it did not object to the idea that in the event of a war survival in the garden is far higher than in the apartment building.

There will be no war tomorrow.

« But I don’t think there’s any revolution – bunkers in the gardens don’t get ready. There will be no war tomorrow. Everyone wants greenery, can determine it, » Bružas said.

He also knows other versions when people from the gardens moved to town.

« When a pension comes, it is 75 or 85 years old, it is difficult to maintain the garden. And I notice another trend. The start of the gardens was about 1960. Those who then received garden plots, reached the honorable age.

He also confirmed that Ukrainians not only buy apartments in Klaipeda, but are also looking for land or houses out of town.

« The fear of war affects only the Ukrainians, there will be no stability there for a long time. There is no reasons that make a refusal to buy something. When people ask me when to buy, I answer – when you need to. Living now. Not property is getting more expensive. Bruce.

“Everything can be”

However, A. Bružas advises that there are currently favorable conditions for buying a home with a loan.

« I think there are much better conditions at the moment to take loans for a longer period of time. The interest rate has fallen, the banking margin has also fallen, there is a possibility to refinance a loan. This is not a bad time.

However, Bružas acknowledged that the absolute peace of mind for the recession and the global crisis could not be expected.

« The 2007 crisis can be repeated. But it can be caused by geopolitical processes. I have heard various conspiracy theories. Everything may be, but it is impossible to predict. Reminded A. Bružas.
