The city falls from sealing
The City of Reykjavik is to waive the ideas of « super -sealing » in Grafarvogur, says Marta Guðjónsdóttir, a citizen of the Independence Party.
She submitted a proposal to the city council for about a month that instead of this sealing, planning ideas in Gufunes would continue on the planning proposal that was approved in 2016 but has not been worked on. When asked, she says new buildings in Gufunes are not in accordance with the organization in question.
The blocks at Jöfursbás are too densely built and do not conform to the ideas that were proposed regarding the development of Gufunes. In 2022, for example, the Icelandic container station should have been gone and the structure has been long overdue in the area.
« Instead of continuing with this uninhabited area, as was the case, the majority of the city takes advice to propose sealing fields in the district neighborhoods of Grafarvogur. It is ridiculous in an area like Grafarvogur, where there is a beautiful environment, that it should be strictly narrowed and to the people of life.
