The City Council was not constituted in Vrgorac: the session again

Since at the constituent session of the Vrgorac City Council, held on Wednesday night, none of the two proposed candidates for the City Council president received a sufficient number of votes, the City Council was not constituted and the new session will be held within 30 days.

HDZ candidate Rudolf Grljušić received 6 of 13 votes, just like the candidate of the Independent Youth List (NLM) Ljubomir Erceg, that is, they did not receive the necessary 7 votes and the President of the Vrgorac City Council was not elected or formed or formed.

In the current composition of the City Council, no one has a majority – the HDZ has 6 councilors, NLM 5, and the SDP and DP by one councilor each.

Six HDZ councilors voted for Grljusic, against NLM councilors and SDP councilor who voted for Erceg, while DP councilor was restrained in both votes.

Within 30 days, a new session will be held, where the president will try to choose, and if there is no attempt there is another attempt within 90 days, and if the City Council is not constituted even then, an extraordinary local election would follow.
