Nicolae Iulian Albăceanu was appointed chief inspector in October 2021, previously holding several important functions, including chief of procurement service within the Romanian Gendarmerie, but also deputy director of the Constanta Coast Guard.
The Romanian Gendarmerie announced on Thursday, in a press release, that « it is firmly delimited by any behavior, attitude or deed that contravenes the legal norms » and will collaborate with the investigators.
