The Cherkasy region will judge a man who damaged the tombs of the military

In Cherkasy region, a 40-year-old man damaged the tombs of fallen defenders. He was informed of suspicion.

About it reports Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, on May 31, the resident of Cherkasy, while on the Heroes Walk, defiled the graves of the dead military. In addition, he stole items that were on burials.

”The attacker threw two flags with a chevron of a special purpose of the CORD, who were on the graves of two fallen soldiers, as well as stole a wax candle and a statuette from the grave of another warrior left the family of the fallen, «  – told in the prosecutor’s office.

Law enforcement officers detained the attacker and chose him a pre -trial detention measure.

The man was suspected of Articles 2, 3 of Article 297 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse over the grave, other burial place or over the body of the deceased). They provide punishment in the form of restriction or imprisonment of three to five years or restriction of liberty for a term of four to five years or imprisonment of four to seven years.
