The case of the extortion of the Telegram channel « Derzhimord » was returned to the prosecutor

As it became known to Kommersant, and then the investigating authorities “for working on errors” returned the materials of the scandalous criminal case of extortion of the Vice-Governor of the Moscow Region by administrators of the Telegram channel “Derzhimord”. According to investigators, who supervised regional housing and communal services and energy, Yevgeny Khromoshin paid administrators for non -publication of posts defaming his reputation. The court considered that the evidence given by investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is too uncertain and violate the right of the defendants categorically denying their guilt from specific accusations.

To return a high -profile case to the prosecutor “to eliminate obstacles to the consideration of it by the court” was decided by the judge of the Krasnogorsk City Court of the Moscow Region Alexander Kankishev, having held only a couple of meetings. As the lawyer of one of the prisoners, Radimir Shaginov, explained, the defense was categorically against, but the court agreed with the standard set of the prosecutor’s statements about the severity of the charges that provide from 7 to 15 years in prison, as well as the opportunity to hide, put pressure on witnesses, etc.

“The prosecutor’s reaction to the court’s decision on the return is still unknown to us, but I do not exclude that it will be appealed,” Mr. Shaginov explained “Kommersant”, noting that the defense, in turn, filed complaints to the appeal of the unlawful, in her opinion, extension of the deadlines for the arresters of the case.

It is worth noting that the decision of Judge Kankisheva largely repeats the similar decision of the judge of the same Krasnogorsk court Svetlana Zaretskaya from September last year. Then it was also said about the incompleteness of the prosecution, which does not allow the court to consider the case. In particular, the judge brought a long list of links to posts in the Telegram channel, with the help of which extortion was supposedly carried out, but « without disclosing their content. » “In our opinion, the new decision on the return of the case sounds much more sharply,” Kommersant explained, surrounded by the defendants. It believes that we can talk about the re -qualification of the charges of much easier, for example, coercion to the transaction (Article 179 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

All of them, according to the accusation, were related to the TEELGRAM channel“ Derzhimord ”and a number of others, in which there were many critical posts, including officials of the Moscow Region. The criminal case in the police was opened at the request of Mr. Khromushin. One of the detainees in the framework of his investigation was the deputy director of the Department of Information and Advertising of the Rosneft NK Alexander Terentyev. After the arrest from the Tax Code, he was fired. The investigation believes that Mr. Terentyev could be the organizer of the group. Protection, in turn, claims that in the case there is no evidence of this and in general the corpus delicti.

It is worth noting that Yevgeny Khromoshin himself recently lost the status of the vice-governor, remaining, however, according to the information of the official website of the Government of the Moscow Region, an adviser in the rank of minister.
