The car fell from the bridge to the river. The driver was hospitalized
On Wednesday, June 11 just after 17.20 in the town of Korzenno (Kielce poviat) there was a dangerous accident. The driver of Kia Rio lost control of the vehicle. The car pierced the bridge barrier and with impetus dropped a few meters below. The wreck was in the riverbed. He fell aside.
The barrier could not stand. The road ended under the bridge
The car fell from the bridge straight into the riverbed, but happiness in misery, the water level was very low. You can see the exposed, muddy bottom and grass. If the river were rolled up or stronger current, this story could have a completely different finale.
– The driver was sober, he rode alone. Fortunately, he also got out of the car himself – said asp. Tomasz Klimczewski from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Kielce.
Two fire brigades immediately started.
– The car was lying on the right side. Firefighters secured the place, disconnected the battery and turned off the gas installation – reported young asp. Beata Gizowska from the Kielce guard.
The wounded man was taken to the hospital in Staszów. According to the services, his life is not in danger.
