The British claims: ‘I was the only surviving aircraft crash in India’

He sustained injuries when hitting his chest, eyes and feet, and the Indian portal also posted his photo.

More than 200 people were killed in the crash of Air India with 242 passengers on Thursday just minutes after taking off from the city of Ahmedabad in the west of the country towards London, authorities said, in the world’s worst aviation disasters this decade.
According to Air India information, there were 169 Indian nationals, 53 Britons, seven Portuguese and one Canadian among passengers.
Vishwash, a British citizen who came to India for a few days to visit his family, returned to the United Kingdom together with his brother Ayay, Kumar Ramesh (45). He still had a boarding card in his pocket when he described what happened after the impact.
– When I came to myself, there were bodies around me. I was terribly scared. I got up and ran. The parts of the plane were everywhere. Someone grabbed me, put an ambulance in a vehicle and brought me to the hospital here, ”he said.
He added that he has been living in London with his wife and child for 20 years. His brother Ajay was located in the second row of the plane, and now he can no longer find him.
– We traveled together, we visited Diu. I can’t find it. Please help me find him, ”Vishwash said through tears.
In the same hospital, numerous family members and friends of other passengers were looking for information about the fate of their loved ones. Among them, the relatives of former Chief Minister Gujarata, Vijaya Rupania, who was also on the flight. Sailesh Mandliya, his former assistant, was among those who were looking for information.

According to air traffic control at Ahmedabad Airport, the plane took off at 13:39 local time with a runway 23. He sent a call « Mayday », signaling an emergency, but after that he no longer announced.
Rescue is still ongoing, while hospitals and competent services are trying to identify the survivors and victims of this tragic accident.
