The BPPO has opened an investigation against a person from Kondovo for illegal possession of weapons and endangering the safety of a child
The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje has ordered an investigation against a person from Kondovo, who in his home unauthorizedly held firearms – a semi -automatic gun.
According to the BPPO, the suspect is charged with two crimes – unauthorized manufacture, possession, mediation and trafficking of weapons or explosives referred to in Article 396 paragraph 3 and endanger the security of Article 144 paragraph 2 in relation to paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
The statement said the suspect in February, through the « WhatsApp » application, has repeatedly threatened to attack a child and the child’s father.
-The 35-year-old suspect, at his home in Kondovo, was unauthorized firearm-a semi-automatic gun « Crvena Zastava Mod.70 » 7.65mm caliber, with two frames and ammunition-24 bullets. In the period from February to 07.04.2025, through the « WhatsApp » application, the suspect has repeatedly threatened to attack a child and the child’s father – the statement said.
In order to boast that he possesses a firearm, the BPPO says the suspect first in February on the phone number, which used the child at that time, sent a video clip showing an automatic rifle while at a wedding.
– On 07.04.2025, when the child had already used another phone number, the suspect appeared through the application and made serious threats to kill him and his father if he published the footage with the automatic rifle. A few hours later he called the child and continued his threats in high tone, causing a sense of insecurity and fear – say the BPPO.
The Public Prosecutor submitted a proposal to the Preliminary Criminal Court for the Pre -Criminal Court for detention for the suspect, as, as it is said, there are circumstances that indicate the danger of escape and particular circumstances that justify the fear of repeating the crime.
