Extremely active President of Macedonia
Trajkovski is remembered as an extremely active president of Macedonia, traveling to more than 20 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Serbia and Montenegro, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States. He held a number of forum addresses, such as the World Economic Summit in Davos, the Council of Europe, the United Nations and the process of co -operation in Southeast Europe, as well as in the parliaments of several countries. Trajkovski had meetings with heads of government and heads of state and was a leader in the region of Southeast Europe, demanding greater co -operation and reconciliation. It has a particular importance in the creation of the Adriatic Charter, uniting Macedonia, Croatia and Albania for collective lobbying for NATO membership.
Citizens remember him as a man of the people, close to the people. He listened to the nation's pulse traveling through Macedonia, listening and talking to citizens, with farmers, businessmen, educators and religious leaders. Trajkovski maintained excellent relations with all members of the Government, as well as with ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries and organizations based in Macedonia.
As a reminder, at the end of 1999 he became the second president of independent and independent Macedonia, when he defeated his political rival Tito Petkovski in direct democratic elections. He was inaugurated for President of the Republic of Macedonia on December 15, 1999, succeeding Kiro Gligorov. During his mandate he was dedicated to the democratic processes and the Euro -Atlantic orientation of the Republic of Macedonia, and particularly significantly played in overcoming the 2001 military conflict.
We find the policies of the second Macedonian president from his following statement: « My vision is to create a democracy -based society, the rule of law and a free market economy and to finally create a society based on confidence. We do it, but it is not enough just to talk about democracy and at the same time allowing crime and corruption. » PR
The historic statement of Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski
Trajkovski, as Deputy Foreign Minister in 1998, attracted the attention of the public when he told the international community in the midst of the refugee crisis in Kosovo: « Send aircraft and take the refugees if you are not satisfied with their treatment here »! And earlier the Macedonian state was accused of treating refugees inhumanly despite the fact that all state institutions were used for the needs of over three hundred thousand Kosovo Albanians. His statement was in the context that the international community should understand the position of the Macedonian state and that more outside help is needed. PR
Boris Trajkovski's father in 1946 worked on the construction of the presidential residence in which Boris Trajkovski was staying
From a biography of President Boris Trajkovski there is also an interesting data linked to his father Kiril. He was imprisoned for ideological and religious reasons, according to the then criminal law (June 1946, immediately after the end of World War II), although he fought on the side of the Macedonian partisans. Kiril Trajkovski was originally closed for two years, but received an amnesty in July 1947. During his sentence in the then prison of Kale in Skopje, working physical work, he also worked on the presidential villa, which one day became home to his son Boris. PR
A reminder of the existence of duality in investigations and reports
Related to President Boris Trajkovski's death
About the crash of the plane and the death of President Trajkovski in the area of Matic Brdo near the village of Huskoviqi, near Mostar, the causes of the « Kinger » crash, the dilemmas and indications of a « plane crash or a work of terrorism », Kulic. Our experts also participated in the committees.
Both reports (which differ) as the reason for the fall of the « Kinger » include pilot errors and other indirect systemic flaws.
The first report as a direct reason for the collapse of the « Kinger » lists « procedural errors in the landing approach, in height and place, at the Mostar airport, on a controlled flight ». At the request of Macedonia, with the support of MEP Andreas Gross, after the gathering of additional evidence by our Ministry of Interior, a new investigation was opened in January 2013, led by Kulic. The second report also lists system failures, and the transcript of the black box, ie the entire conversation between pilots and conversation with flight control. Seven procedures during the flight by the pilots and five systemic errors of competent institutions in our country and in Bosnia and Herzegovina are the reasons for the demolition of the « Kinger », according to a second report presented by Kulic. Our country has fully accepted the allegations with additional proposals relating to the system system, the procedure itself, the request and the rescue after the fall of the « King » and the formulation of the aircraft of the aircraft. But for our country it is unclear why the location where to look for the plane has been diverted, although Kulic says the flight controller knew where the plane was crashed. PR
They told Boris Trajkovski…
Former Croatian President Stjepan Mesic
« There is no doubt that he has shown strong leadership at a very difficult time, because after the tragic clashes it was necessary to restore the confidence between different ethnic communities, and that is not an easy task. He had a lot of morality and ethics and I am very sorry that he left us very early, but I cannot but wonder if his dreams may now come true in his homeland.
Former Albanian President Alfred Moisiu
– Trajkovski was wise, passionate and unforgettable. After so many years of his death, his work and contribution was not forgotten. He is immortal in terms of values and what he did in the interest of his people and the entire Balkans.
Former EU Special Representative in Macedonia, Alen Leroa
– Trajkovski was not very popular because he was brave and did not say what anyone wanted to hear, but he told the truth. Trajkovski was obsessed with the fate of the earth. He was a great statesman with high values and a true democrat who appreciated people. All leaders had complete confidence in him and his vision. It was always available when an important solution was to be made. There was empathy for everyone. I believe that its values will remain inspiration for all leaders in this country, but also in Europe. I worked with him and I could see his vision and his responsibility in making decisions for the benefit of all people and in favor of the country.
Sir Barney White Spanner, a former senior NATO official
