Citizens can vote this year in a total of 948 districts throughout Latvia.

The elections could vote from 8am to 8pm on Saturday.

This year, unlike the municipal elections of previous years, it is possible to vote in any municipal district.

In the previous municipal elections, which took place in June 2021, the elections were not in Riga, where the council was elected in an extraordinary election a year earlier, as well as in Rezekne County and Varaklani County, where the elections were suspended after the Constitutional Court judgment, and later – in September 2021. Currently, Varaklani County is included in Madona County and is respectively in the Vidzeme constituency, while it was previously in the Latgale constituency.
