The biggest folk endurance and adventure race in Latvia has been held in Latvia Optibet Strong Race / Day

On May 3, a large number of brave from all over Latvia, who were ready to test their abilities on the specially prepared obstacles and challenges, gathered in Tukums County. With the sunny and warm weather, more than 3,500 people attended the event this year.

The Optibet Strong Race is the first of its kind in Eastern Europe, which has become a tradition for individual members and teams of friends and colleagues over many years. This is a great way to not only test your physical abilities and endurance, but also strengthen the sense of togetherness and gain an unforgettable experience. A special mood is given by the fact that the event time coincides with the festival of the independence of the Latvian state.

This year, the participants had the opportunity to compete in several different difficulties in the distances: « Small Strengths », « Star FM Family Distance » and « Alwark Friends » with lower load and obstacle complexity, as well as in the legendary « Strong Race » and « Garmin Elite. » The most popular this year was the distance of the « Strong Race ».

Optibet Strong Race is the biggest adventure racing in Latvia, which first took place in 2009. It is the first event of its kind in Eastern Europe and still, every spring brings together a large number of participants – in groups of different ages and physical fitness that want to test their endurance, courage and team spirit. The race takes place in a patriotic atmosphere alongside the May 4 celebration – the anniversary of the restoration of Latvia’s independence – becoming a tradition for those who want to challenge themselves and celebrate freedom with strength and movement. Participants have a variety of tracks – for children, families and friends, and individual adventurers.
