On April 15, a colored statue of a volleyball player was removed in the Sluland Museum in a thematic park, because of which there were a lot of disputes. The one that was initially conceived according to the project of the park was installed in its place, writes Rus.delfi.
“According to the initial concept, which was agreed with the authors of this park, Bluray, it was the same sculpture that they put it today, but over time the concepts of the authors changed, and they did not coordinate this changed concept with us,” Elena Antusheva, acting, explained the situation, “therefore, the museum and the city were interested in returning to the original plan, because this area of the park has its own function. «
According to Antusheva, a flowerbed with the corresponding flowers in the center of the museum park and the sculpture of volleyball players should reflect historicity, show visitors, as it was in Soviet times in Sallamae, to recreate an authentic atmosphere. “And what stood behind the story, all the secrets, secrets, rethinking this story, our pavilions functionally fulfill, in which you can go through a virtual excursion,” the head of the museum explained.
But the museum does not refuse a small color sculpture, because it sees in it a new look at history, a modern approach. It is assumed that it will be installed there in the park, closer to the children’s zone, but after it is possible to solve the technical issues related to the transfer of the statue.
Recall that the Blurai company was preparing a virtual tour of the thematic park “The Mysterious City”. She took responsibility and made a copy of the Soviet statue in the style of pop art, although according to the project it was supposed to establish a copy of the statue in the same amount as it was created in the last century. According to the company, the large size of the statues of the Stalinist time, shouted that the personality of a person is not so important. Blueeray employees do not agree with this, and they proposed their own, modern, “reading” the monument – a small color volleyball player. The City Hall Sillamyae for a long time defended the right to return the statue in its original form.
