The appointment and dismissal of the Headmaster will require the consent of the Minister

At today’s session, the Committee on Education, Science and Youth supported the proposal for the amendment of the Law on the Organization and Financing of Education (ZOFVI). Everyone agreed that the proposal was good in part where systematic financing of development and investment in education with a percentage of GDP. The most disagreement, however, is to reintroduce the consent of the Minister to the appointment and dismissal of the headmaster.

Following the proposal of the amendment to the law, which will be decided by the National Assembly, the director will be appointed by the Council of the Public Kindergarten or the School with the consent of the minister. The Minister will be able to reject the consent to the appointment in certain cases, namely if the school inspection identifies irregularities in the appointment of the headmaster who have not already been eliminated by the institution’s council, or if he finds that there are reasons that are also cited as the reasons for the dismissal. Specifically, if the headmaster violated the law, which the competent state authority has legally identified if he is final convicted of a deliberate crime of imprisonment if he did not commit a final inspection, administrative or final judgment if the Court of Auditors found a serious violation of good business obligations.
