The president of the National Trade Union Bloc, Dumitru Costin, said on Monday that the measures conveyed to reduce the budgetary expenses, such as eliminating holiday vouchers and antenna increase, are « firefighters, taken on the knees for despair ».

Dumitru Costin participated on Monday, along with other union leaders, at a meeting with PSD representatives, at the party headquarters.

The BNS leader was asked how he sees the measure of eliminating the holiday vouchers for budget as a solution to reduce the state expenses.

« There are fire solutions, taken on the knees out of despair. I am drawn to my attention today that due to this critical situation with the budgetary revenues, I have clear signals from certain public institutions that they are not able to pay their salaries, in commercial companies, due to the delay of approving the budgets of these companies. Ordinance 156 that entered with the boots in the collective labor contracts (…) So come with this type, fire (…) I did not mention that one of the most powerful expense positions is the expense with interest.

Costin mentioned that he does not want to « talk strictly on the employees » to reduce expenses, nor VAT increase is a solution today.

About eliminating the antenna increase, Costin said it cannot be done without certain assessments.

« The antenna increase is an increase of working conditions. It did not come from the foam of the sea. It is the consequence of evaluations that were made there by the Institute for Labor, by other specialized companies. You cannot give up from the belly. You must produce some technical evaluations with specialists to come, to say, to these jobs, because of the employer Risk, ”said the BNS leader.
