Formula-1 breaks ended and this weekend will take place for the tenth stage of the « Queen of Motor Sports »-the Grand Prix of Canada.

From June 13 to June 15, the next winner of the F-1 race will be determined at the Vilnev Vilnev Highway named in Montreal. The champion decided to deal with the main intrigues and interests on the eve of the Grand Prix of Canada-2025.

Historical reference

The stage in Canada is one of the historical formula-1 in the current calendar. The first races of the local Grand Prix took place in 1961, and the stage of the Queen of Motor Sports entered the stage in 1967.

And of course, the history of the race in Montreal did not bypass the famous period of the Covid-19 pandemic, when two years in a row, in 2020 and 2021 the stage of the Grand Prix of Canada was not carried out.

The most common riders in Canada, like many other tracks, are the legendary Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton. The former and current Ferrari pilots won 7 wins in Montreal.

Nevertheless, the last three races on the Vilnev Vilnev Highway have won the 4-time champion Max Ferstapppen in Red Bull.

Among the teams, the most successful in the formula-1 at the Canada Grand Prix are McLaren, who won 13 times within the championship. Ferrari have 14 victories, but two of them fell at a time when the stage was not yet part of the Queen of Motor Sports.

The two F-1 mastoders go by Williams with 7 victories, Red Bull with 5 and Breb with Mercedes-4 torture in Canada.

The configuration of the track

The history of the route in Montreal is very ancient. The artificial island of Notre Dam in the middle of the St. Laurenti River was created for the World Expo 67 exhibition in 1967.

After the 1976 exhibition and the Summer Olympic Games ended in Montreal, it was decided to turn the island’s road into a race track. And this is how the Autro of the Notre Dam Island appeared, so it was called.

The first race of the formula-1 stage in Montreal was adopted in 1978. It is that race that won the Gill Vilnev on his Ferrari, now the route bears his name.

The route in Canada is one of the beloved among riders and fans of Formula-1. The track is quite fast, with lots of chicken that require a sharp braking. The latter leads to the famous « Champions Wall ».

In total, the track consists of 14 turns and three DRS zones. During the race, the pilots overcome 70 circles of the route 4.361 kilometers, which creates a total arrival distance of 305.27 km.

The record circle of the race was demonstrated by the former Mercedes Valtter Bottas pilot in 2019 – 1: 13.078, although the most fastest circle in history showed Sebastian Vettel in qualification at Ferrari in the same year – 1: 10,240.

Favorites and intrigue Grand Prix Canada

The race in Spain has demonstrated that no directive will now be able to influence McLaren’s advantage, so the victory will be more likely to fight the Papaya racers.

It is very difficult to make some predictions, because Monaco Lando Norris has proved that he still has confidence and pace to win, but Oscar Pastri did not even give the British a chance in Spain.

The main intrigue is whether one of the pilots of Mclarene against command orders will go for the sake of victory, as well as whether the rod will appear in Norris not only in the qualification but also directly on the highway.

The events in the so-called formula-1,5 are also interesting, where Mercedes and Ferrari are the main favorites, as Max Ferstapppen pulls on his shoulders.

For the « silver arrows », three European stages were extremely unsuccessful – the east of Andrea Kimi Antonelli in Imola, a failure in Monaco and East of the same Antonelli in Barcelona.

So we have that Ferrari, despite double disqualification in China and losing to qualities, then Williams, then Aston Martin, occupy the second place in the overall standings.

Will Totto Wolf set up the team for a successful stage, and maybe Yuki Tsunoda will find speed in his edition bull and bring the bulls closer to the second place in the designers’ Cup. This is another question that we will receive after the Canada Grand Prix.

And of course, the struggle among the middle people is more interesting as ever. So we have Vilyams, which looks a little faster, but the sensation of Nico Hulkenberg in Spain, the stability of Okon in Haas, Fernando Alonso, who clearly wants to be above, as well as a climb, where every racer can lose his place in the F-1 car.

It is difficult to predict who the next race will be more successful, as many factors can be influenced, so in addition to the pace, the teams will have to demonstrate good strategies and respond to events during the race best.

Tires, strategies and weather in Canada

For the third time in the season at the formula-1 stage, the most softest rubber configuration will be presented-C6 software, C5 Midium and C4 hard. Last year, a little rigid tires were used in Canada – C5, C4 and C3.

Since rain in Canada is not forecast, it is not necessary to expect a race with sensational victories and catwalks. We believe that the victory will be won by the Oscar Pastri in the intense fight against Lando Norris, but the podium will catch … Lewis Hamilton.

For the British it is one of the most successful stages in a career, so why not create a small sensation, ahead of both Mercedes, Max Ferstappen and teammate on Charles Lecler’s team.
