The military court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict of one of the defendants in the resonant criminal case on the preparation of the attempt on the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov. Oksana Shevchenko was appointed ten years of colony of general regime. According to investigators, Mrs. Shevchenko was part of an organized terrorist group, which intended to undermine an official’s car, but the FSB officers neutralized it in time. The defendant agreed with the version of the prosecution.
The Southern District Military Court (Rostov-on-Don) found Oksana Shevchenko guilty of preparing a terrorist attack and the illegal turnover of an explosive device (part 1 of article 30, paragraph “b” of part 3 of article 205 and part 4 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). She was assigned ten years of colony of general regime and a fine of half a million rubles.
According to investigators, Oksana Shevchenko from May 8 to 9, 2023 rented a garage box in Simferopol, where a cache for storing a home -made explosive device was equipped. From January 22 to February 2, 2024, she, together with another member of the criminal group, was studying possible places for committing a crime, including monitoring where the head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov lives and where.
The criminal case against the alleged accomplices of Oksana Shevchenko – Vladimir Bodnar and Vladimir Ananyev – is considered separately. Vladimir Bodnar is accused of going to Zaporozhye and brought components for the manufacture of an explosive device from there to Crimea. At one time they were stored at home by Vladimir Ananyev, investigators say.
The bomb collected from them was moved to the garage rented by Shevchenko. Subsequently, it was with Bodnar who convicted was monitoring the head of the republic.
The suspects were detained in February 2024. During the search, they found and seized a radio -controlled homemade explosive device made of anti -tank mine, a distance fuse that involves connecting a mobile phone, and a number of other components.
During the investigation, Oksana Shevchenko and Vladimir Bodnar fully pleaded guilty and collaborated with the investigation. But Vladimir Ananyev in court rejected his involvement in the crimes that were incriminated to him. In 2014, he left for Kyiv, but in November 2023 he returned to the Crimea. According to some reports, he considers his criminal case fabricated.
The head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov in May last year said that he knew about the four attempts on him, who were prevented by the employees of the FSB of Russia, and in all cases the attackers were detained.
In August 2024, the same Southern District Military Court Sentenced Crimean Igor Korchinsky by 18 years in prison for trying to undermine the car of the head of the Crimea. Based on the case materials, a year earlier, the defendant was recruited by the Ukrainian special services, from which he received the task to commit a terrorist attack in Simferopol. The attacker followed Sergey Aksenov, studied the alleged place of the attack and put on the map the possible route of the Crimean Car car to the place of the planned explosion. But the investigator’s plans were torn by the attacker.
