The abolition of a musical show on TV Slovenia has triggered a wave of disapproval
Earlier this year, the news began to spread the news that RTV Slovenia is abolishing the show 33/45. Since the fall of 2023, when it was first broadcast, it was considered the only platform on national television, regularly informing viewers of urban musical events in our country. She led her Leila Aleksandra Jelicin the half -day term on Saturday evenings, it was possible to see studio interviews, new videos of Slovenian performers, concert reports and a video of music events at home and around the world. The show was hunting for the balance between different genres, which is usually described as urban. It was possible to meet both Big Foot Mama and Tinkaro Kovač as a rotomotor and SBO (death of God and children).
The abolition of the show was expected to trigger disapproval among Slovenian musicians. At the Association of Trade Unions of all musicians of Slovenia, they wrote that « it has exceptional cultural and educational significance and contributes significantly to the diversity and wealth of the Slovenian music landscape, as it enables the presentation of less represented musical genres, supports domestic creativity and contributes to the spread of the musical awareness of the audience. » Members of the RTV Council called for its re -inclusion in the program scheme, and a similar initiative was triggered by a group of individuals and collectives in the music scene. The initiative, also received in writing by the Ombudsman of the viewers’ rights, was supported by more than seven hundred signatories, including Zoran Predin, Tomi Meglič, Maja Keuc, Niet, Mrfy, Laibach, Kokosy, Koala VoiceGušti, Boštjan Narat, Aleksandra Ilijevski, Davor KlaričAKA Neomi…
We talked to four signatories to the initiative against the abolition of the show, and they are all convinced that public television should not be viewed on viewership in such broadcasts.
