In recent days, a photo has appeared in social media that aroused a big stir among Internet users. The photograph shows a child lying on the back shelf of the car, just under the rear window, while driving. The event took place in Tarnowskie Góry, and the photo was taken on Sunday, June 1, 2025, around 19:10, on the route from Nakło Śląski to Tarnowskie Góry – reports gwarerek.com.pl.
After publishing a photo on one of the groups on Facebook, the Tarnogórska police appealed to the author of photography to report to provide relevant information that can help clarify the situation. The appeal brought an effect – the author of the photo contacted the officers and gave explanations.
Irresponsible transporting a child in a car. They showed a photo
The police set the vehicle’s registration number visible in the photo. Investigators should quickly reach the car owner and see if he was the driver at the time.
Currently, proceedings are being conducted to cause a threat to road traffic and not complying with the obligation to transport a child in the car seat. There is a fine of up to PLN 3,000 for such offenses – says the regional service.
Extremely irresponsible. There could be a tragedy
Transferring the child in the manner shown in the picture is extremely irresponsible and poses a serious threat to his life and health. In the case of sudden braking, collision or accident, a child unprotected with seat belts or a car seat may suffer serious injuries.
The police remind you that, according to traffic regulations, children with a height below 150 cm should be transported in appropriate seats or other holding devices, adapted to their weight and growth. Violation of these provisions not only exposes the child to danger, but also involves legal consequences for carers.
