The Central Matura Day expected for many with the greatest nervousness is over. The standardized matriculation examination took place in mathematics on Thursday. It is traditionally the subject with the highest five -man rate. At the main date of 2024, around 2.8 percent of the total grades were negative. In 2023 it was 2.1 percent.
Unlike on Wednesday at the German-Klausur, the tasks differed in mathematics depending on the school type. In the graphic, you can see an example from the tasks for general education.

In the case of written mathematics matura, a distinction is made between part-1- and part-2 questions. In the former, basic competencies are checked in the latter the application of mathematics to more complex, often real problems. A significantly more time is planned for the second part.
The exam in English is still imminent on Wednesday, then the written Matura has already run for most. The central grade is completed with the exams in French and the minority language Slovenian (May 12), Spanish and the other two minority languages Croatian and Hungarian (May 13) and Italian (May 14). Any five can then be repaired with a compensation test on May 27th or 28th. (Red.)
