During the celebration, special attention was paid to the people who paid their entire careers to travel safely and comfortably. The Nomination of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists was presented to those whose long -standing work and dedication became inspiration for colleagues, passengers and the community as a whole.

Kaunas Region Industrialists and Employers Association Executive director Reda Stankevičienė congratulated the team of Kauno Buses and presented prestigious awards to those who create reliable and quality public transport with their work.
« Kaunas is moving because people are moving – respect for those who support the rhythm of the city every day! » – said R. Stankevičienė. She emphasized that public transport is not just new buses or modern solutions, but first and foremost people who do their job with love and responsibility every day.

Saulius Alekna, the head of the Trolleybus Park, has been working for the company for a decade and has made a significant contribution to the improvement of the trolleybus contact network. Due to the modern reconstructed network, trolleybuses are moving faster at intersections in the city and do not interfere with another transport. S. Alekna constantly and actively submits proposals for the design and reconstruction of the city infrastructure.

The woman decided to drive a trolley bus in her youth when she was fascinated by one driver called a swan. « When I first saw a trolley driver who everyone called the swan, I realized – and I want it. It turned out to me that everything is so beautiful and wonderful, » Vida shared memories of starting work in the company.
During the long years of work, she had to experience a variety of situations, from fun conversations with passengers to challenges that needed a quick reaction and strong character. « Once upon a time, a group of young people got in the mountain stop and started singing fun. It was a lot of fun – such moments really lift the mood, » she said. Despite everything, she still sits at the wheel with a smile and enjoys every trip.

Bus driver Andrew Korovin has been doing his job honestly for 42 years. As he started driving his first bus « Ikarus », he is already sitting at the wheel of a modern bus « Man Lion's City » today. The man asserts that the work must be done with love and honesty: « Everyone has to work honestly. If the work does not like – change, look for one that I like. I always taught my daughter and now my grandchild – any job needs to work from the heart. » Even after retirement, he still feels a strong relationship with the profession. « It's been a few days of retirement, but I still don't want to go out because I like the job, » the driver opened. « You go on different routes every day, see the city, changing people. True, the passengers seemed more sincerely – greeted, saying goodbye to getting off, and now more in a hurry.

Bus driver Gintaras Radzevičius has been loyal to his work for three decades. « I have been working for 30 years and this is the first. I'm loyal to my work and I'm glad I got better times, » he said. Initially working as an industrial equipment repairman, he still chose the driver's way. « My path to this profession was interesting – I started as an industrial equipment repairman, but I finally chose to drive. Over three decades, there were all in difficult times and better. But I always stayed faithful to this job. »
The Nomination of the Knight of the Profession was also presented to Mindaugas Andriušaitis, a trolleybus driver, who has been driving a trolleybus for 45 years and his / her experience and knowledge with younger colleagues.

Senior manager of passenger control, Jolita Taraviene, has contributed significantly to the development, implementation and improvement of passenger control in public transport.
« This nomination for me is serious recognition and appreciation, » she said. « In my work, the most important thing is to have patience, to be able to listen, to be able to convince, and the most satisfaction is the real impact on passenger experience. It is gratifying when it can help a person and solve problems. According to Jolita, the most common problems are solved by continuous contact with employees – their work involves the entire city and district of Kaunas, so constant coordination is needed.
