Terror in Warsaw’s Ochota. The police caught the perpetrator of robberies

At the end of March, there were two brutal attacks on older women in Warsaw’s Ochota. The first of them took place at night, when the masked perpetrator attacked a woman waiting for the elevator, pushed her and snatched her purse. Two days later, in the afternoon, there was another attack in the staircase. The attacker tried to pull the purse to a woman, but he was frightened by her husband.

Detention of a suspect

Policemen from the Faculty of Intelligence and Patrol KSP noticed the suspect in front of one of the supermarkets. The man answered the image of the perpetrator of robberies and was wanted by the District Court in Chrzanów to serve more than 5 years imprisonment. During his detention, he claimed that they would prove nothing to him, but he left a biological trail on the purse of one of the victims.

Evidence and arrest

The key evidence turned out to be a biological trail left on a purse, which was compared with the genetic material downloaded from the detainee. Policemen from the KSP forensic laboratory confirmed that the traces belong to the 37-year-old. On the basis of the evidence gathered, the prosecutor charged him with robbery and attempted attempt.
