In the warmer months, balconies and terraces become equal to the rest of the apartment and should be considered, both functional and aesthetic, as one of the most important rooms in the apartment. It is important that they are stylishly integrated with the rest of the apartment. These are spaces to provide tenants a place for dreaming, resting and enjoying fresh air. Designing and arranging outdoors such as a balcony or terrace can often be a big challenge, but always keep in mind that space should be well organized, functional, comfortable, relaxing and cozy.
While the furniture and other elements of the interior must be adapted for external use, they must also correspond to the dimensions and shape of the balcony or terrace. Too many pieces or too large furniture will stifle the space and limit the use and movement. Choose comfortable furniture suitable for outdoor use that can be used individually or as a kit.
Despite the attractive furniture, your balcony may look unfinished without proper decoration. With a few attractive weather -resistant accessories, you can create a magical atmosphere. The decoration is the soul of your outdoor space and should be a reflection of your personality. A standard balcony or terrace turns into a unique and personal place – an oasis where each element contributes to creating an atmosphere in which it is a pleasure to live.
As with everything, too much or too little of something in general is not good. Take care of the lighting of the terrace. If you have too much light on the balcony or terrace, users are likely to consider glancing for unpleasant, and you will additionally attract mosquitoes. However, if you do not have enough light, it will be almost impossible to use the terrace or balcony at night. Think about adding ambient lighting in the form of battery portable lamps. Add decorative pillows for extra comfort, carpets or boho-style carpets, adapted to use the balcony. These details make the space warmer and more pleasant.
One of the main factors and elements of the terrace or balcony should be the variety of plants and flowers. However, too many plants can quickly overload your space. Make sure your plants are well distributed according to the orientation of the sun and the shape of the space.
