The evening opened a musical journey through the world’s biggest hits – from Soul Diva Arethe Franklin and Ette James, through rock icons such as Janis Joplin and Heavy Metal Classics Metallica, to contemporary pop icons like Beyoncé. In addition to the processing that flared the atmosphere, the audience also had the opportunity to hear the author’s songs of Tena Waterworks, especially ‘A glass of wine, a little smoke’, which carried the spirit of the whole concert.

Miron Hauser, as the leader of the orchestra and author of the arrangement of the evening, gave a special stamp to every musical number, shaping the sound that connects the power of the orchestra with contemporary pop rhythms, creating a new dimension to famous songs. The arrangements of the author’s songs by Tena Vodopija is due to Bruna Matic, a renowned music artist known for innovation, refinement and modern musical expression.

The atmosphere in Kontesa was an explosion of positive energy – cheerful, dancing and incredibly alive. The audience breathed with performers, sang and celebrated music, and many commented on how pleasantly surprised they were with the power, freshness and authenticity of the whole evening.

The special moment of the evening was the performance of the song « Mila » from the repertoire of the Psychomodo pop group, which Tena Vodopija, Martina Geber, Mateja Mihovec and Petra Kozar performed with Davor Gobac. Tena and her colleagues are already known as regular accompanying vocalists Psychomodo Pop (« Napalm Virgo »), and this moment further emphasized their musical connection and playfulness.

Petra Kozar performed the song « About a Youth », which she had previously recorded with her group Flyer and Josip Lisac, and this time she brought her in a new, very emotional and intimate interpretation.

Another highlight of the evening was the performance of the author’s song « #taj », which caused the most bony audience reaction. At the request of the audience, the song was repeated as an encore behind bis, and worn by emotions, Tena spontaneously invited a special guest – her husband – on stage. On that occasion, she told that the song « #tay » came from their love story: « First he was just him, then he became the one, and today it is my husband. » This sincere moment further marked the evening with a strong sense of community and authenticity.

Although the orchestra is reminiscent of the classic Big Band format with its composition, the performances have far transcended genre frames, bringing a whole new musical experience – modern, fresh and deeply emotional.

Tena Vodopija thanked the audience during the evening for their support, emphasizing that this concert for her is a reward for herself – a celebration of music, life and authenticity. She sent special gratitude to Miron Hauser and all members of the orchestra for the joint creation of this music story.

‘Wine glass, little smoke’ indicates the beginning of long -term musical collaboration, with plans for new performances in Zagreb and across Croatia, where the audience will again be able to experience this unique synergy of orchestra and contemporary pop sound.
