The Special Olympics World Winter Games are an international sporting event that brings together the best athletes with intellectual disabilities from all over the world every four years. The focus is on the sporting competition and the cooperation that goes far beyond sport. The games not only enable the participants to demonstrate their sporting talent, but also promote inclusion, respect and recognition of diversity. This year's host is the Italian city of Turin. From March 8th to 15th, around 1,500 athletes from 100 countries will compete against each other in various sports.

Special Olympics World Winter Games: Timetable and Dates 2025

This year's Special Olympics World Winter Games will take place in Turin from March 8th to March 15th. The opening ceremony was held on March 8 at 6 p.m. in the Inalpi Arena in Turin. In the following overview you will find the frame dates of all sports:

Transfer of the Special Olympics World Winter Games on TV and stream:

The transmission of the Special Olympics World Winter Games takes over this year Sky Sport. The broadcaster reports a total of 17 hours of the competition in Turin. The following sports events include the selection:

    Saturday, March 8th: opening ceremony – from 6.05 to 8:00 p.m. Sky Sport Mix

In order to be able to see the winter special Olympics, you can get to a paid subscription Sky therefore not around. A Sky Sport ABO currently costs 35.99 euros per month.
