Television debates for legislatures start on April 8
The three open-end televisions gathered on Tuesday with parties representatives and parliamentary coalitions and advanced with the proposal of 28 debates. The adopted model is the same as the 2024 legislative elections.
The televisions propose that the debates start on April 8 and end on April 28, face to face between PSD and PS leaders, Luís Montenegro and Pedro Nuno Santos.
The democratic alliance proposed that the PSD leader be replaced by the CDS-PP leader in the debates against the Left, Free and Pan Block. Negotiations are still at course.
The debates start on the 8th and end 20 days later, with three -day interruption during the Easter period and April 25.
The model proposed by RTP, SIC and TVI foresees 28 debates, 12 of which generally open signal, 15 in information channels and a debate transmitted simultaneously by all channels. The latter will be the debate between PS and AD.
In addition to these clashes, RTP will hold the usual debate among all parties with parliamentary representation on May 6. Two days later, on May 8, follows the confrontation among representatives of small parties that are outside the Assembly of the Republic.
All debates will be between 25 and 30 minutes, except for the one who opposes the leaders of the two largest parties, whose expected duration is 75 minutes.
