Telecom player Digi does not let Belgian figures look yet

Digi Communications, the Romanian parent company of the new Belgian telecom operator Digi Belgium, released annual figures on Friday without saying anything about the first results in Belgium.
Digi published provisional financial figures on Friday morning, with also commercial details about the different countries in which the company is active. Only about Belgium, where Digi put its offer in the market in mid -December, there are no figures.
Digi says that it only releases figures for consolidated entities. Digi Belgium is a joint venture from Digi and the Belgian Citymesh.
The Romanian group achieved € 1.9 billion last year, an increase with 13.9 percent compared to 2023. In addition to Belgium, Digi also started activities in Portugal, where it bought the fourth player on the market. The profit for interest, taxes, depreciation and depreciation increased by 15.8 percent to 685 million euros.

On Thursday it became known that Digi Belgium immediately put a number of board members at the door. Moreover, according to the newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, the company does not pay its accounts.
