Teknofest TRNC Started – Cyprus Newspaper

Under the auspices of the Presidency, TEKNOFEST TRNC, which was held for the first time in the TRNC under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation).

Teknofest TRNC, which is the world’s largest aviation, space and technology festival, opened its doors to visitors at 09.00 at the former Ercan Airport in Nicosia.

The official opening of the festival held at the former Ercan Airport in Nicosia will be held at 13.00 at a ceremony. The official opening of the festival, which will provide unforgettable moments to the participants with many innovative activities and demonstrations between 1-4 May, will be held with the participation of President Ersin Tatar as well as senior officials from the TRNC and Türkiye.

During the festival, from aircraft exhibition to planetarium, pedal flight activities to stage shows; A large number of activities are presented to visitors from the “First Flight” event where students will have flight experience for the first time.

Cyprus Peace Operations Area Experiences Great Travels in History

One of the most popular areas of the festival so far was the field of experience of the Cyprus Peace Operation.

The field of Cyprus Peace Operation Experience, which was prepared within the scope of Teknofest TRNC, took the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation to visitors in history, while the critical moments of the operations are re -alive with symbolic jump simulation.

Expanded Reality (XR) Experience

The expanded reality (XR) experience area at the festival offers visitors an interactive science journey with six different XR technologies.

With the XR experience for the Turkish Antarctica Research Station, the participants can discover Türkiye’s science base in Antarctica in three dimensions. Türksat Satellite Systems XR experience shows how communication from space to the world is provided in an interactive environment.

Flight demonstrations are performed during the festival

During the festival, flight performances are held with the participation of Aircraft vehicles such as Solotürk, Turkish Stars, F-4 fighter planes, Atak helicopters, Hürkuş, Bayraktar TB2 and Akıncı.

In the festival, many institutions and organizations from the TRNC and Türkiye share their current projects and scientific experiences with visitors.

AIR SHOWS AND EVENTS CONTINUE

Teknofest TRNC, which opened its doors to visitors at Eski Ercan Airport, continues with great interest. Air shows and various activities continue uninterruptedly at the festival.

Within the framework of the festival, T-129 attack helicopter, CN-235 parachute jumps, Hürkuş, Gendarmerie S-70 “Steel Wings”, Akıncı Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and Solotürk show. During the day, the Turkish Stars are expected to perform on the main stage.

In addition to air shows, various activities, scientific workshops and interactive areas organized in the festival area attract visitors.
