Technology, Innovation and Development: How Two Greek Startups were found in one of the top Tech Incubator Centers worldwide
In the high-tech era we live in, innovation and smart tools are an integral part of modern business, especially for all those active in the technology industry.
A key ingredient for the success of many startups is working with international telecommunications groups and access to advanced technological tools. One such example that demonstrates this momentum comes from Cosmote, a member of the Telekom Group, who offered two Greek startups a unique opportunity to get to know how innovation works internationally.
Specifically, the two World Pass Powered by Telekom winners traveled to beautiful Krakow, where they experienced an experience full of technology and networking at Tech Incubator Center in Telekom in Poland, also known as Hubraum.
Representatives of the two Greek companies lived closely what an investment opportunity and prospect mean, knowing leading innovation professionals, discovering the latest trends in advanced technologies and taking valuable advice on their future course.
His winners World Pass powered by Telekom were the two Greek startups, FounderHood and RUN4MOREwho had the opportunity to travel to Krakow, and specifically to Hubraum, the Tech Incubator Center of the Telekom Group in Poland, founded in 2012.
What exactly is going on there? It is a center with a mission to support innovative business ideas through funding, mentoring and access to the Telekom global network. Its infrastructure includes state -of -the -art facilities, such as VR & AR special spaces, advanced Edge computing infrastructures, 3D printers, laser cutters and other cutting -edge tools.
Startups have come into contact with Telekom’s philosophy, which stems from the deep knowledge of new technologies, the emergence of innovation and the constant search for ways to integrate into the market.
The program they watched began with a thorough presentation on how a startup can find customers, develop new products and constantly upgrade its services. Particular emphasis was placed on USABILITY Testing techniques, customer behavior analysis, as well as UX Research and A/B testing tools, which can provide valuable insights to businesses.
But what exactly do the so -called Tech Incubator Centers offer? These are organizations that provide start -ups with a comprehensive support framework, from consulting and mentoring to access to office spaces, networking opportunities and possible sources of funding.
This practically means that through these centers, startups acquire the supplies and the necessary know -how to pass from theory to practice, that is, the idea of the idea to that of the sustainable business.
In Krakow’s Hubraum, for example, contact with augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), as well as utilization of Edge computing infrastructure, shows that it opens roads in multiple commercial applications. It is very important that startups there can develop their products in testbeds so that they know how efficiently they are in practice.
The two Greek startups, during 1o Day, they watched suggestions for customer searching and developing new products. Specifically, they attended speakers who presented successful case studies, emphasizing the importance that businesses should give in the depth of their users: for example UX Research techniques help detect the real needs of customers, while A/B tests allow the comparison of different versions of a product or service to detect it.
Then there was an equally interesting speech entitled: « Opportunities that Telekom can Bring: AI5G APIS; IoT tech Capabilities‘. There, Telekom’s representatives talked about the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into various processes, as well as the importance of 5G and the relevant APIS. The utilization of the Internet of Things (IoT) for the benefit of customers is a fact, with the « smart » solutions to be offered.
The startups were also informed of the ways in which they can take advantage of the Telekom Group’s technological know -how, either through partnerships or from direct use of tools offered by the hubraum.
The next day was equally themed. It focused on funding and how a startup can raise funds from Venture Capital Financing.
In the presentation that followed by title « A General guide on raising venture Capital Financing‘participants have heard from experienced investors the criteria commonly used to choose a business idea, as well as (perhaps more important) the most common mistakes that remove investors from prospective proposals.
In the following Panel Discussion, founders and executives crossed their views on the wrong decisions made by young entrepreneurs, depriving their companies significant growth opportunities.
At the end of the event, the two Greek startups were before investors and professionals. FounderHood and Run4more presented their business plans, received a detailed feedback and network with companies and individual investors looking for innovative ideas. After Pitching, a networking event followed, where participants were linked to a more direct level, exchanged opinions and experiences.
Going to Poland’s second largest city, the winners had the opportunity, in addition to the discovery of Hubraum, to tour historic Krakow, which has one of the best preserved medieval centers in Europe. Representatives of the two companies visited the picturesque center of Krakow, toured the Wawel Castle and descended to the well -known Wieliczka salt mine. From the walks they did not fail to taste local cuisine, knowing firsthand the Polish gastronomic tradition.
One of the leading telecommunications groups in the world, the Telekom Group focuses on innovation, investing in advanced technologies and constantly expanding its presence. It operates in more than 50 countries and employs about 200,000 employees. It is no coincidence that the « Telekom » brand is at the top of telecommunications brands worldwide and ranks 11th on the list of the most valuable brands, according to the British « Brand Finance Global 500 » report.
In Barcelona’s recent participation in the Mobile World Congress (MWC), he went down with the « Shaping Technology for All » message, highlighting both the emphasis on digital applications and connectivity, as well as the central role of AI on customer service and efficiency.
Greece also participates in this vision through Cosmote.
The experience at Telekom’s Hubraum has offered a « package » of knowledge and inspiration to representatives of the two Greek startups. It is of the most important support received by companies with high ambitions and a desire to grow rapidly. With Telekom having a worldwide technological presence and Cosmote playing a catalytic role for domestic entrepreneurship, prospects for partnerships and funding can come true.
