Teachers from the Vodice region, those from Serbia tell us: We are ignored by the government, they have higher salaries in C. Gora
Peace, this is what teachers needs in classrooms. We need to let us do our jobs with our children. The problems in the education system in Slovenia are the same as in Croatia. Distrun and dissatisfaction is a big one, but the biggest problem is that we are constantly burdened with new and new reforms, programs, plans that are just alternated, without real analysis. Of course, this is badly reflected in our work and as our parents see us, said Slovenian educational expert Dr. Goga Novak at the beginning of the 4th international conferences for teachers, educational experts and scientists involved in primary education last week in Vodice.
Conference in the organization Croatian Community of Elementary Schools She brought together more than 250 teachers, principal and principal, as well as educational experts from all over the region. Problems in Serbia where enlighteners were mostly stood in addition to students, in a large civic rebellion because of the tragedy in Novi Sad exactly six months ago, she told us Suzana MijuskovicPresident of the Federation of Teachers of Serbia.

We are looking for an official status but ignore us
Although this school year Many have passed in the blockages of teaching, with enormous pressures of government who culminated in the termination of salaries, she points out that teachers and teachers in Serbia continue to do their best to provide students with quality education.
– We are not distinguished by the challenges from the classroom, from cooperation with parents, ministries, agencies. The difference is only in finances. In my 30 years of service, with the biggest progression, I pay just below 1000 euros. Colleagues and colleagues without progressing are less internships, salaries can barely reach 700-800 euros. This is sad, given that we invest ourselves equally, our knowledge, our time, into that job. And with all that, we do a lot of things volunteer. Even in Montenegro, salaries are higher – she told us.
For events such as a professional conference in Vodice Mijuskovic, he believes that it is extremely important for connecting the educational profession at the regional level. The experiences that share and the education they acquire are very much helping them to improve their work with colleagues.
– We have been struggling for years to get an official of the official, which is provided in Croatia, but there are no institutions. The media in Serbia publishes only negatively about enlightenment, as they are here, we are often criticized for working four hours a day and we have the months of the holidays. Student successes are never visible in the media, no matter how much we pass it, it is only important that it happened badly at a school, and we usually be guilty, no matter what happened – he points out.
And in the Netherlands missing the teacher
The assembled agreed that there was less and less true communication between teachers and parents, especially since the e-journal has come into practice. Parents are increasingly coming to interviews and are informed about children exclusively through that system.
Education expert from the Netherlands, Anne Jan van den doolexplained that these are global problems when it comes to education. Changes that have been brought in in the last 20 years by super-speed development of technologies, changes in the way of living, less and less patience for the educational process, brings great load to educators. The Netherlands also faces the increasing problem of the lack of teachers.
– It is my experience that parents transmit frustration from their school days through their children. In the Netherlands, we also feel the sole of teachers, numerous pressure on them and insufficient investment in the system – he said.
‘Teachers are not superheroes’
Boris JokicDirector of the Institute for Social Research, pointed out that teachers are not there to be superheroes, but are part of a system that should be supported by their work with children. Fear, which is the primary feeling that drives us to act should be replaced by communication and re -constructing trust.
In three days of the conference sponsored by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, participants had the opportunity to listen to numerous lectures, as well as scientific workshops of foreign and domestic experts. Jasmina HamerHZOŠ president, pointed out that constant education is part of the teacher’s call.
