Taxi

Over taxi I am bound by memories similar to the fairytale of carriages in cartoons or spacecraft in science fiction films.

Although a taxi for two or more for a short distance of some time was even cheaper than a ticket for urban traffic, the feeling of fairytale and importance of the moment when driving. Cleansed car, notification sounds, chatting with a chauffeur or chauffeur, and counting cents on a taximeter – all of this is a rite that still makes my day better today.

Word taxi is shortened from the French word by origin Taximètre (‘taximeter’), a device for a device that is still inextricably linked to every taxi. Music teacher Wilhelm Friedrich Nedler invented a device for measuring time and calculating driving costs in carriages and vehicles in 1875 and modeled on the word Metron named in German Taxan.

With the advent of the first taxis as gasoline -powered cars (1904), they named this device first in Paris Taxamètrethen Taximètre. From this, the well -known word of taxi was created worldwide. (In Latin means taxa ‘fee’, mètre Well ‘meter’, taximeter is therefore a device that measures ‘fee’ for transportation.)

With the arrival of the Uber Transport Platform, it is likely that the role of the word will also begin in Slovenia as well taxi. Already more than 100,000 people have transferred the application of this company, and due to lower prices, we will be using automotive transportation instead of bus, cycling or walking.

We will also say that taxi? Or will it be what Uber? Maybe we will revive words like fycakerpregar or exit?
