Tate brothers, 21 charges in the UK
British prosecutors have authorized a total of 21 criminal charges against the controversial British-American Influence of Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan, including rape, physical abuse and human trafficking, the British Prosecutor’s Office (CPS) announced on Wednesday.
Andrew Tate will have to respond to 11 charges in the UK, including rape, physical abuse and human trafficking, according to CPS. The prosecutors said that they authorized the charges against Andrew Tate, who are related to a applicant, before issuing the extradition mandate in 2024 to bring him from Romania.
His brother Tristan will respond to 10 charges, including rape, physical abuse, human trafficking and control over prostitution to obtain winnings. The charges are related to three applicants.
CPS mentioned in a statement that the Romanian courts, where the father brothers are the subject of a separate criminal investigation, ordered their extradition to the United Kingdom.
« However, internal criminal issues in Romania must be solved first, » a CPS spokesman said.
In Romania, Andrew and Tristan Tate, with double British and American citizenship, were sued by DIICOT on June 20, 2023, being accused of setting up an organized criminal group, trafficking in persons, rape, illegal access to the computer system, hit or other violence.
